Passed away peacefully Sunday, March 29th, 2015 at North Haven Manor, Lewisporte, NL in his 97th year, Mr. Garfield William Ginn.

Garfield is predeceased by his wife, Lulu (Pennell) and son, Barry.
Garfield was born in Change Islands in 1918, the only child of William and Annie Ginn.

Left to mourn his passing are his 5 children, Chesley (Aileen), Roy (Linda), Ross (Kathleen), Wayne (Bernice) and Janice (Niall McPherson). Garfield also leaves 11 grandchildren and 18 great- grandchildren.
Private services to be held at a later date.

To Dad,

December 21st,1918 a blond hair blue eye baby boy was born to William and Anne Ginn.

Their life would never be the same again. Garfield William was his name. His father a fisherman, his mother worked the land. Little Garfield had other plans.

He was a small boy but grew into a giant of a man. Laughter and love he gave willingly to all human kind. He left his mark where ever he went and every life he touched they did not want him to part. For the love and kindness in his heart would always be in their heart.

He met and married his soul mate Lulu July 9th, 1942. A love and marriage so wonderful and true. Five boys would be born little Barry they would mourn. October 21st, 1954, a girl was born look out boys life would never be the same.

Red hair and freckles and temper hot as a flame. Janice loved her brothers, adored them and looked up to them. Her Dad was her life line she loved him with all her heart. Wherever he went, she would be there. Sundays were church days but once in a while Dad and her would go astray. I dig for worms and Dad and I would sneak off to catch our fill of fish. We come home and Dad would clean the fish and I would serve up a wonderful dish. The boys would watch and drool and Dad and I would laugh. Too bad boys, this is our catch.

Take my hand my loving son, I will lead you to the promised land.
