Passed away on Saturday, January 2, 2016 at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Care Center, Grand Falls-Windsor, Mr. Freeman Gerald White, age 88 years of Lewisporte, NL.

He was predeceased by his wife, Stella; son, Terry; grandson, Lee; parents, Dawe and Lillian White; brother, Junior. Left to mourn his passing with fond and loving memories are his children, Valerie (Peter), Grant (Audrey), Jean, Joan (Nathan), Christine (Andy) and David (Colleen); sister, Audrey Slade; 18 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and a large circle of other relatives and friends.

Public visitation took place from Gordon Woolfrey Funeral Home, 172 Main Street, Lewisporte on Monday, January 4th from 3-5 & 7-9 PM.

The funeral service took place from St. Matthews United Church, Lewisporte on Tuesday, January 5th at 2 PM. Interment followed from the United Church Cemetery.

As expressions of sympathy, flowers or donations to the Syrian Refugees Fund would be gratefully accepted.
