Passed away on Sunday, August 28, 2016 at the Dr. Y.K. Jean Health Center, Brookfield, NL, Mr. Ford Chaulk, age 81 years of Carmanville.

Born to Jasper and Nellie Chaulk, he went to work in the Lumber woods at the age of 13 years. Despite his youth, he worked as hard as the men. At that time they had to walk through the woods to Indian Bay, a two day trip. He became sick at the age of 21 years and had to give up working. He lived with his mom until she passed away and then stayed in their apartment until he could no longer look after himself. He moved into Carmanville Manor and enjoyed being cared for by the workers there. He leaves to mourn his passing with fond and loving memories, his brother, Max, Judy and Randy and a large number of nephews and nieces. He will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by family and friends.

Public visitation took place from the United Church, Carmanville, on Tuesday, August 30th from 7-9 PM and Wednesday, August 31st from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. The Funeral took place from the church on Thursday, September 1st at 2 PM. Interment followed from the United Church Cemetery.
