It is with great sadness that the family of the late Flora Venie Waynette Canning, aged 76, announces her sudden passing at the North Haven Manor, Lewisporte, NL on Saturday, June 2, 2018

Flora is predeceased by her parents, Lindsay & Wilhelmina Mugford of Port Albert, NL; daughter, Jacqueline; father of her children, Aubrey; brothers, Sidney, Harry, Calvin, Ralph, Hedley; sisters, Wavey Mugford and Violet Piercey.

Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are her son, Junior (Gerarda), Cloud Bay, ON; daughters, Nancy, Hamilton ON, Judy, Calgary AB, Nitta (William) Whiteway, Lewisporte, NL; grandson, Anthony whom she helped to raise; sisters, Maisie Hoddinott and Ethel Hancock; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren , nephews, nieces, and friends.

The public visitation took place Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at 2-4 pm, Thursday, June 7, 2018 from 11 am - 1 pm from the United Church, Port Albert, NL.

The funeral service took place Thursday, June 7, 2018 at 2 pm from the United Church, Port Albert, NL with Rev. Clouter officiating. Interment followed at the United Church Cemetery., Port Albert, NL. Pallbearers were Cassandra Lambert, Junior Canning, Ashley Canning, Gerarda Canning, Wayne Barnes, Anthony Canning and Vickey Tulk; Honorary Pallbearers were Nancy Canning and Judy Canning.

As expressions of sympathy donations in her memory were made to the United Church, Port Albert, NL or the Diabetic Association.
