Passed away at his home in Stanhope, NL on Thursday, October 11, 2018, Mr. Faden Allan Janes, aged 48 years.

Faden Allan Janes, born on December 27, 1969, was one of 3 children, born to Nina and Allan Janes.
Upon graduating from high school, Faden furthered his education and earned a civil engineering diploma from College of Trades and Technology, in St. John's NL. Faden's civil engineering skills were put to good use as a longtime employee in Maple Ridge, BC.

Faden had a passion for the great outdoors and some of his happiest times were spent on the lakes ,ponds, and salmon rivers in BC and his native Newfoundland and Labrador.

Faden was well versed in his knowledge of nature, and knew well the habitats and types of even the most uncommon of  fish species.

He couldn't  wait for the cod food fishery seasons to begin, the salmon rivers to open and the trouting season to start.

Faden had a keen sense of humour and dry wit which often left his family members in tears of laughter.

Left to mourn his passing with fond and loving memories are his children, Matthew & Justin; significant other, Laura Ryan; parents, Allan (Nina) Janes; sisters, Colleen (James) Mckenzie, Marigold (Tyrone) Buckle; nieces, Brooke & Blaire Mckenzie; nephews, Jesse & Brody Buckle, and a large circle of other relatives and friends.

The public visitation took place from the Pentecostal Church, Birchy Bay, NL on Tuesday, October 16, 2018, from 7-9 PM.
The funeral service took place from The Pentecostal Church, Birchy Bay, NL on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at 2 PM.

As expressions of sympathy, donations in his memory were made to the JDRF foundation.
