Everett Arthur
Jones
Sep 21, 1950 — Jan 5, 2022
Lewisporte
It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Everett Arthur Jones, aged 71, on January 5, 2022, surrounded by his loving family.
Everett is predeceased by his parents, Arthur and Phoebe (Boyd) Jones; in-laws, Charles and Elsie (White) Snow; as well as his siblings, Aubrey, Betty and Frances; brother-in-law, Douglas; sister-in-law, Louise; niece, Cindy; and nephew, Terry.
Left to morn his passing are his devoted wife of 49 years, Ruby; his adoring daughters, Michelle (Eslier) Aguilar, and Heather Jones; her ex-husband, Jason Janes; and Everett's three treasured grandchildren, Belen, Javier, and Emma. Also mourning are his brothers, Donald (Loretta), Allan (Rachael), and Franklin (Debbie); as well as in-laws Shirley (Cliff), Fred (Marilyn), and Carl (Joyce), Bernice, Lewis, and Shirley; as well as numerous friends and relatives.
Everett was gentle soul who was always there to lend a helping hand. He was a father figure to many of those he loved and who loved him.
He was the dad who drove all the teenagers to school or wherever else they wanted to go, the dad that read books to you so you could understand them or sat with you to figure out the math you just couldn't get. He enjoyed early morning on the river salmon fishing; traipsed over more than one bog to hunt a moose and loved going in the woods with Emma to check rabbit snares. He was dependable, trustworthy and a doting and devoted husband. He will be missed by all whose lives he touched.
In keeping with his wishes, cremation is to take place. A private visitation for family and friends will take place from Gordon Woolfrey Funeral Home, 262 Main Street, Lewisporte, NL.
The memorial service will take place from The Salvation Army Church, Lewisporte, NL on Monday, January 10, 2022 at 2 PM for invited guests only. NLVaxPass along with a photo ID will be required upon arrival for both visitation and memorial service. Interment will follow at The Salvation Army Cemetery, Lewisporte, NL.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to The Salvation Army Cemetery Fund we be gratefully accepted.
