We are heartbroken to announce the passing of Ethel Pope of Campbellton who passed away peacefully at home on March 26, 2026 surrounded by family.

Leaving to mourn, and will be deeply missed by her daughter, Renee (Shawn); son, Garry; brothers, George (Della), Garry (Lexie); sisters, Eleanor (Rol), Kay (Calvin), Cathy; In-laws, Bramwell, Una, Sandra (Kevin), Austin (Patsy), Trixie (Frazer), Terry (Diane), Larry (Beverly), Abel (Wanda) and baby Freeman deceased

Ethel was predeceased by her husband, Willard; parents, Garfield and Phoebe Young; In-laws, Abel and Grace Pope; sisters, Edna (Levi), Inez (Harold), Jessie, Brothers Ross, Eugene, Roy and lil Lester

Ethel Dulcie Ruth Pope was born Feb 1, 1950 to Garfield and Pheobe Young.  She was a loving wife and mother dedicated to making her home, always welcomed and made the best homemade bread in the world.  She touched a lot of lives cutting and styling hair that was her passion.  The love of her craft and the clients she had always made her days complete.

Ethel loved her family deeply, her children were everything to her.  She also loved the Lord with all her heart and soul.  Her faith was strong and her devotion to her church and community over the years was through love.  She loved everyone and always wanted to the best for us all. She was loved by her family and huge circle of friends and her church family.

Public visitation will take place from the Full Gospel Pentecostal Tabernacle, Campbellton, NL on Sunday, March 29, 2026 from 3-5PM and 7-9PM.

Funeral service will take place from the Full Gospel Pentecostal Tabernacle, Campbellton, NL on Monday, March 30, 2026 @ 2PM. Interment to follow at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Campbellton, NL.

As expressions of sympathy, flowers or donation to the Campbellton Fire Department will be gratefully accepted.

Funeral Arrangements are entrusted to Gordon Woolfrey Funeral Home, 262 Main Street, Lewisporte, NL.
