It is with great sadness the family of the late Elvie Myrtle Canning announces her passing on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at the Lewisporte Health Centre, Lewisporte, NL,  aged 91 years.

She is predeceased by her husband, Garland Canning; parents, William and Matilda Wells; son, Douglas Canning.

Left to mourn her passing with fond and loving memories are her children, Junior (Shelia), Terry (Louise),
Lovelette, Valetta(Bob), Janice(Randy); fourteen grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and a large circle of relatives and friends.

A special thanks to the staff at Lewisporte Central Health and Pleasantview Manor where she previously resided who looked after mom with such loving and compassionate care.

Public visitation took place from The Salvation Army Church, Comfort Cove, NL on Friday, March 24, 2017 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM.

The funeral service took place from The Salvation Army Church, Comfort, Cove, NL on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at 2 pm.

The interment followed at The Salvation Army Cemetery, Comfort Cove, NL.

As expression of sympathy, donations to the Salvation Army Church Fund will be gratefully appreciated.
