Passed peacefully away Monday, September 21, 2015 at the James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander, Mr. Eldred George Strong, age 76 years, of Change Islands.

He is predeceased by his parents, George & Meta Strong; father-in-law, Sydney Peckford & mother-in-law, Carrie Peckford.

Left to mourn his passing with fond and loving memories are his wife, Eileen; daughters, Karen (Rick) & Susan; grandchildren, Valerie, Katrina; Lucas, Ryder & their father, Jason; great-grandchildren, Skyla & Brienna; brother, Willis (Ella); sisters, Phyllis (Francis), Doris (Wallace), Alice (Brian), Gladys (George), Frances (David); brothers-in-law, Ray (Ivy), Bruce (Denise); sisters-in-law, Rosie (Stan), Mildred (Norman), many nieces, nephews and a large circle of other relatives and friends.

Public visitation took place from the Salvation Army Church, Change Islands, NL on Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2015 from 7-9 PM and Thursday, Sept. 24, 2015 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM.

The funeral service took place from The Salvation Army Church on Friday, September 25, 2015 at 1 PM. Interment followed from the Salvation Army Cemetery, Change Islands, NL.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Change Islands Volunteer Fire Department was gratefully accepted.
