Eileen Violet Frampton (nee Woolfrey) passed away peacefully at the age of 83 on the morning of Friday, September 20, 2024 surrounded by the love of her children and grandchildren.

Eileen is lovingly remembered by her dedicated and only daughter Lynette (Rex); her six dutiful sons David (Debbie), Gregory (Carolyn), Neil (Lisa), Brian (Natosha), Peter, and Stephen (Sherri); as well as her 16 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

She is predeceased by her loyal husband of 50 years, Clifford, and her sister, Margaret (Margie) Ivany.

Eileen was born in Lewisporte on October 31, 1940 to Florence (nee Hale) and Nelson Woolfrey and lived what she described as an idyllic childhood with her sister Margie and two brothers, Barry and Neil. The day she peered across her father's vegetable fields to see a new family home under construction, she knew her life had irrevocably changed. Years later, Eileen and Cliff would together create their own bustling homestead in that house across the garden – bursting at the seams with a brood to which Eileen remained steadfastly devoted and of whom she felt immeasurable pride. Her children and grandchildren were her life's work and a testament to her unwavering commitment to family.

From an early age she developed a keen interest in the Royal Family and was especially fond of Queen Elizabeth. She followed Queen Elizabeth's reign throughout her life and fancied herself the Queen of her own little family, about which no one would disagree.

Eileen's warm smile and welcoming ear have been a source of comfort to many through her life. She was a good friend who inspired trust and respect whether in the pews at church on Sunday morning or over late-night tea and toast on Lockmoor Street. She was a lovely lady who will be sorely missed by anyone who knew her.

Visitation will take place at the Gordon Woolfrey Funeral Home in Lewisporte on Monday, September 23, 2024 from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM.

The funeral will be held at St. Paul's Anglican Church at 2pm on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, with a gathering of family and friends at the church hall to follow.

The family extends warm thoughts of gratitude to the staff at Kingsway Living and North Haven Manor for their thoughtful care of Eileen in her final years.

As expressions of sympathy, flowers and/or memorial donations to St. Paul's Anglican Church Women will be gratefully accepted.
