Passed peacefully away at the Caribou Memorial Veterans Pavilion, St. John's on November 9, 2016, EDWARD "MARK" WARR, aged 94 years, Retired World War II Merchant Navy Veteran.
Predeceased by his wife, Georgena; brothers, William, George, John, Charlie and Frank; sisters, Edna and Joan. Leaving to mourn with many treasured memories, his only daughter, Marilyn and son-in-law, David (Rabbitts); sister, Nellie (Sam) Taite, sister-in-law, Ruth (Warr). Also leaving to mourn and celebrate his life are step granddaughters, Gail (Rabbitts de Montbrun), Jill (Clancey) and their families; many special nieces, nephews and their families as well as lifelong friends and his caregivers and comrades at the Caribou Memorial Veterans Pavilion.
Cremation will take place. Visitation was held at Gordon Woolfrey Funeral Home, Lewisporte on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM.
A memorial service and celebration of his life took place at Gordon Woolfrey Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at 11 AM and interment followed at St. Matthew's United Church Cemetery, Lewisporte, NL. As an expression of sympathy, donations were gratefully accepted to the St. Matthew's United Church Cemetery Fund or a charity of one's choice.
