Passed peacefully away on his 80th birthday, Donald Wesley Ball at the North Haven Manor Palliative Care unit on Thursday, May 5, 2022.
Donald leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife of 56 years, Delilah; five children, Denise (Brent), Darlene, Debbie (Alex), Deon (Stacy) & Dwayne; nine grandchildren, Nikki, Taylor, Cody, Pasquali, Zachary, Lucas, Carson, Christian, & Gemma; one great-grandchild, Ceraza; four sisters, Florence Boyd, Ruby Locke (Hayward), Greta, & Gladys.

Don is predeceased by his parents, Douglas & Pheobe Ball; father & mother-in-law, Selby & Mabel Potter; brothers, Garland, Robert, Albert, & Aubrey; sisters, Ethel Budge, & Mae Ball; as well as a large number of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.

Don was a jack of all trades. However, his main career was mining, but he was also a great carpenter building 3 houses as well as completing many renovations jobs. He could fix anything that was broken from appliances to cars and electronics. Don (Dad) was always a phone call away. When there was shoveling to be done, night noises to be checked out, grandkids to get to hockey tournaments, cars to be fixed or bugs to be killed.

Don loved fishing and camping. He spent many summer nights fishing salmon and lake trout on Lake Superior, ON as well as cod jigging in the Atlantic. His favorite camping spot was Neys Provincial Park outside of Marathon, ON.

He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. There are no good-byes. You will always be in our hearts.

In keeping with is wishes cremation has taken place. A service of celebration and interment will take place at a later date.
