Passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 3, 2024, at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL, Mr. David Ernest Thompson, originally of Hamilton Ontario, age 77 years.

He was predeceased by his parents, Ernest and Mary Thompson (nee Mackenzie); son, James Cook and sister in law Leanne.

Left to mourn with many fond and loving memories are his daughters, Susan (Brian) and Alethea ( Lindy); son, Graham; grandsons, Zachary, Jimmie, Desmond and Dorman; brother, Ted; sister, Patricia (Derril); past wives, Roslyn and Wendy.

David was a man with much wisdom and a great sense of humor. He cherished every moment shared with family and friends, especially his grandsons. David was an inspiration and a rock for his loved ones.

In keeping with his wishes cremation is taking place. Celebration of life will be held at the Norris Arm North community centre on Saturday, November 23, 2024 at 2:00 pm. Live stream will be available to share with loved ones afar.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Gordon Woolfrey Funeral Home, 262 Main Street, Lewisporte, NL.
