Passed peacefully away with his family by his side, Mr. Cyril John Foley, age 90 years.
Born in Tilting, son of Edward and Catherine (nee, Cluett) Foley. He worked many jobs from miner to barber and a lot in between. He was involved in the community, thru church and firehall. Cyril was a 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus and was the Norris Arm's first fire chief.

He is predeceased by his parents, Edward and Catherine; brother, James; wife, Sylvia (Molloy).
Left to mourn his passing with fond and loving memories are his sons, Rene (Jacqueline), Paul, Claude and Edward (Cindy); grandchildren, Kayla (Justin), Jordan, Gregory, Julie, Tyler and Justine; great-grandson, Oliver; sister, Mary Frances (Autio); Juanita Beason, Bernadine Devoe and Susanna Johnson and a large circle of other relatives and friends.

The public visitation took place from the Roman Catholic Church, Norris Arm, NL on Saturday, March 11, 2017 and Sunday, March 12, 2017 from 2-4 PM & 7-9 PM. The Mass of Christian Burial took place from the Roman catholic Church, Norris Arm, NL on Monday, March 13, 2017 at 4 PM. The interment followed from the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Norris Arm, NL.

As expressions of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, donations in his memory were made to Roman Catholic Cemetery, Norris Arm, NL.

Cyril will be remembered by all who knew him.
