Passed away on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at the Lewisporte Health Center, Lewisporte, NL, Mr. Charles Richard Yates, age 85 years.

He is predeceased by his parents, Ira and Pansy; wife,Edith; sister, Marie and brother-in-law, Roy.

He will be forever loved and missed by his wife, Alma of 31 years; his children, David (Arlene), Ruth (Neil) and Joan (Bob); his step-children, Nathleen (Bob), Beverley (Rick) and Leslie (Marie); seven grandchildren, Andrew, Alison, Justin, Stephanie, Gregory, Taylor and Morgan; great-grandchildren, Oliver and Jaxson; two sisters, Gertrude (Wallace) and Hazel (Brian); sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Olga and Everett Gregory; nephews, nieces, extended family and a large number of friends.

Public visitation took place from Gordon Woolfrey Funeral Home, Lewisporte on Sunday, June 5th from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. The funeral service took place from The Salvation Army, Lewisporte on Monday, June 6th at 12 PM. The interment took place on Tuesday, June 7th at 1 PM from the Salvation Army Cemetery, Blackmarsh Road, St. John's, NL.

As expressions of sympathy, flowers or donations to the Parkinsons Society was gratefully accepted.
