Passed away on Sunday, May 20, 2018 at his home in Lewisporte, NL  Mr. Carl Layte, age 80 years.

He is predeceased by his wife Barbara;  parents, Arthur and Edith;  sisters, Melba Croff, Winnie Thorne, Effie Kavli, Gertie Layte and Ella Snow;  brothers, Harold and Fred.

Left to mourn his passing with fond and loving memories are his son, Michael;  brother, Gilbert (Joyce);  sister, Vera Mercer;  girlfriend, Betty Pelley and a large circle of other relatives and friends.

The public visitation took place from Gordon Woolfrey Funeral Home, 262 Main Street, Lewisporte, NL on Thursday, May 24, 2018 from 3-4 PM & 7-9 PM.

A private funeral service for family took place from the Gordon Woolfrey Funeral Home on Friday, May 25, 2018 at 2 PM.

As expressions of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, donations in his memory were made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
