Passed peacefully away into the arms of Jesus on June 11, 2020 at the Health Science Centre, St. Johns, NL, Brenda Ruth Brett (Loder) of Campbellton, NL. She was 70 years old, and would have turned 71 on June 17.

Brenda was predeceased by her beloved father, George Loder; sister-in-law, Kathy Loder; father and mother-in-law, Atwood and Clementine Brett; and brothers-in-law Lloyd, Scott and Harvey Brett. Left to mourn with cherished and loving memories are her husband of 53 years, Wilson Brett; her beloved children: daughter, Kimberley (Mark Penney), Christopher (Mary Cayouette), Kent (Kayla); the lights of her life, her grandchildren, Chelsea, Samantha, Olivia, Leah, Owen and Claire; her 90-year-old mother and matriarch of the Loder family, Mary Loder; her much loved siblings: brothers, David (Ella Mitchell), Paul (Sherry), Craig (Katrina), and sisters, Marilyn (David Howell), Debbie Loder and Roxanne (Hubert Hollett); her former daughter-in-law, Lisa Wheeler; her sister-in-law, Mildred Brenson; her many nieces and nephews; and a wide circle of friends.

Brenda was a devout Christian who gave her life to the Lord December 3, 1988. She spent many years cultivating and helping to sustain and grow the Campbellton Salvation Army Corps. She loved God and her family, and when a heart attack struck her March 4, 2020, she turned her fate over to the great physician. The inscription found in her Bible speaks to Brenda's life: "On the day you were born you cried and the world rejoiced. Live your life in such a way that when you die the world cries and you rejoice!" In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Campbellton Salvation Army Corps or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, only a small family service will be held at the Salvation Army Church, Campbellton, NL on Sunday, June 14 at 2 p.m. with interment at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Campbellton, NL.
