Promoted to Glory in the early hours of Friday, August 11th, 2023. Bramwell Clarke age 94 years passed peacefully in his sleep and went home to be with the Lord and Saviour whom he served faithfully all his life.
Bram was born in Stanhope and met his future wife, Lucy Milley in Lewisporte. They were married on March 28th, 1952 and went on to raise four sons and one daughter. He spent most of his working life employed with Lewisporte Wholesalers starting as a cook on the schooners and finishing many years later as the manager of the meat and refrigeration department. Bram was a lifelong member of The Salvation Army and spent over 25 years as Cubmaster in Lewisporte.
He was predeceased by his wife, Lucy; parents, Walter and Lily Clarke; brothers, Edgar, Abner and Ted; sister, Cecelia.
Left to mourn his passing with fond and loving memories are his sons, Barry (Phyllis), Wally (Debbie), Sandy (Jennifer), Brill; daughter, Roxanne; grandchildren, Jared (Susan), Marsha (Gerard), Todd (Susan), Trevor (Laura), TJ (Jordan), Crystal, Ryan, Melissa (Adam), Jeremy, Abigail (Mike); great-grandchildren, Emma, Leslie, Mackenzie, Michael, Alex, Andrew, Brock, Keira, Noah; sister, Joan Fudge and a large circle of nieces, nephews, other family members and many friends, especially his church family and Pleasantview Manor family.
Public visitation will take place from Gordon Woolfrey Funeral Home 262 Main Street, Lewisporte, NL on Sunday, August 13th from 2-4 & 7-9 PM.
The funeral service will take place from The Salvation Army Citadel, Lewisporte NL on Monday, August 14th, 2023 at 2 PM. Interment will follow at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Lewisporte NL.
As expressions of sympathy, and in lieu of flowers, donations to The Salvation Army Citadel Building fund will be gratefully accepted.
