Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Bill Artholo Clifford Snow passed away Sunday morning at James Paton Memorial Hospital at the age of 76, surrounded by his loving family.

Bill was predeceased by parents, Pearce and Gertrude Snow; brother, Bernerd; infant sons, Trevor and Trent; his dog Maggie and brothers- in-law, Barry Keating and Rick Warr.

Bill leaves behind and is belovingly remembered by his devoted wife Donna (Martin) Snow; his children, Kyla (Robert) Fleming, Koren Snow, and Billy (Tammy) Snow. He was a proud grandfather to Kaelan (Riley), Rachel (Kyle), Monica, Robert, Alexander, Benjamin, William, Taylor, Megan, Mia, and a cherished great-grandfather to Sophia, Eric, and Kohen. and will be forever remembered by his brothers Gord (Frances) Snow, Don (Ruby) Snow, Ron (Marg) Snow, and sisters Shirley Keating and Deb (Guy) Baker. He will also be remembered by his extended Martin family along with his nieces, nephews, close friends and family.

Bill lived a life full of laughter, friendship, and adventure. He loved hunting with his son Billy and spending evenings down at the cove with the Lewisporte clan. A passionate sports fan, Bill cheered for Toronto teams in hockey, baseball, and basketball. In his younger years, he played broomball, hockey, and softball, creating lifelong friendships along the way.

Bill started working at the age of 20 with Maritime Medical in Halifax, when returning to Newfoundland, he began work with Canada Post and subsequently joined the Butternut Bread Company and was famously known to many as "Butternut Bill", providing services to communities around Central Newfoundland. Riding with Bill was an experience like no other—full of jokes, stories, and laughter. His warmth and humor touched everyone he met.

Bill's legacy is one of love, family, and joy. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him and the roads of Lewisporte will not be the same without Bill roaming those streets.

In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place.  Visitation will take place from Gordon Woolfrey Funeral Home, 262 Main Street, Lewisporte on Friday, January 9th from 2-4 & 7-9 PM.  The Memorial Service will take place from St. Matthews United Church, Lewisporte on Saturday, January 10th at 1 PM.  Interment will follow at the United Church Cemetery.
