Passed away on Monday, May 15, 2023, Mrs. Bessie Pearl Pope, age 88 years of Birchy Bay, NL.

She was predeceased by her husband, Norman; parents, Joseph and Ida Mews; son, Melvin Lloyd; grandson, Shawn Pike; granddaughter, Tammy Osmond; siblings, Augustus, Jack, Clayton (Gladys) and Annie (William Quinlan); sister-in-law, Ivy Mews.

Left to mourn her passing with fond and loving memories are her children, Marjorie (Samuel Pike), Linda (Roy Saunders), Karen (Lloyd Steele), Lawrence (Jo-ann), Metina (Owen Osmond) and Rodney (Dale); grandchildren, Sheldon, Sherman, Coreina, Carolyn, Corey, Jason, Natasha, Joseph, Tiffany, Trevor, Tara, Joshua and Jeremy; great-grandchildren, Daniel, Danessa, Brandon, Brittany, Addison, Braden, Colby, Chloe, Raegan, Brooke, Jake, Brett, Rowan, Lincoln, Sevan, Karlie, Bennett, Abigail and Nixon; siblings, Adolphus, Alvin (Jean), Eric (Judy); sisters-in-law, Nora Mews, Margaret Mews and a large circle of sisters and brothers-in-law, other relatives and friends.

Public visitation will take place from Beacon Pentecostal Church, Birchy Bay, NL on Thursday, May 18, 2023 from 2-4 PM & 7-9 PM.

The funeral service will take place from Beacon Pentecostal Church on Friday, May 19, 2023 at 11AM. Interment will follow from Beacon Pentecostal Church Cemetery, Birchy Bay, NL.
