Passed peacefully away at his home in Lewisporte, NL on March 28, 2020 with his loving family by his side, Arthur Belah Pickett, aged 78 years.

Predeceased by his father, Elias Pickett; father-in-law, George Pickett; mother-in-law, Mary Pickett; & brothers-in-law, Walter Pickett, & Clarence Park; nephew, Jason Park.

Leaving to mourn his wife Jane of 53 years who was the love of his life; daughter, Tina Bennett (Derek); sons, Todd (Julie), Trevor (Lynn) & Ted (Renee); grandchildren that he adored,  Catherine, Jonathan (Robyn), Travis, Jordan, Christopher, Shi'anne, Sheridan & Ethan; as well as his great-grandchild, Andy; mother, Muriel Pickett; brother, Seward (Jane); sisters, Esther, Linda (Gerry), Jill (Lester), & Wanda (Gary); brothers-in law, Willie (Madaline), & Calvin (Linda); sisters-in-law, Audrey (Bernie), Maxine (Cecil); as well as  a large circle of family and friends.

Arthur was an angel sent to Earth to do God's work, and now that his work is done, he was asked to go back to Heaven with God where he will now be waiting to welcome his family with his beautiful smile, hearty laugh and open arms. We consider him our Angel because he gave us a life that was Heaven here on Earth. He loved us very much and expressed this love through all the kind and loving things that he did for us on a regular basis. He would gladly go without something if he knew we needed it, but he would also do the very same for others in need.  He was proud of all his family, but he glowed with unmatched pride when he would speak about his grandchildren and great-grandchild, because they meant the world to him.

He enjoyed telling stories about his childhood growing up on Fair Island and the fun that he had with his many friends during his work life.

Our Angel was the greatest gift that God could give us and we are truly grateful for the time we had with him, wherein we were able to show him and to tell him how much we truly loved him.

The world lost an Angel today and God received him with open arms. He was loved very much and will be sadly missed for the rest of our lives.

In light of the current coronavirus pandemic, there will be no public visitation or funeral service. All services will remain private for immediate family only.
